Top photo: Steve had a very emotional reaction to the kids being safe. Look at his body language. After the events of 2.10 I think this is appropriate and would have honestly liked to have seen more extreme emotions from him.

Steve always reacts strongly to case with kids as well. They’ve just been really light on the ground in S2 (maybe you can count 2.06). In S1 it seemed like they were everywhere.
Also the school teacher got a loooong Steve!hug.
I was annoyed there seemed like there was little follow-up from 2.10 but Steve pushes things (like being tortured with a cattle prod) down well, so it could come up later? Maybe?
LOL at that teacher. She earned it, man.
I wasn’t really expecting any follow-up from 2x10, but I did notice some marks on Steve’s face that I thought might be healing wounds from that episode. They’re semi-circle marks on his cheekbone and around his eye? But those may be from the off-screen drug bust.
